Coaching

A Coach for the Art of Pitching and Public Speaking

Would your team benefit from training in public speaking? Do you want a boost in confidence when delivering a presentation?

I have trained over 200 people, most of whom have been early-stage startup founders, in delivering an effective demo pitch. The Art of Pitching can be applied to corporates and learning how to communicate any message clearly.

The training includes familiarization with the most common pitch structures, the best way to formulate the business idea in a winning pitch and the Dos and Don’ts of public speaking.

Corporate clients such as Kone appreciate the application of pitching to communicate effectively. Doctoral Researchers at Loughborough University London gained practical tools in structuring presentations about their research.

Furthermore, I have coached pitching with a Train-the-Trainer approach as well as developed learning materials and tutorial videos for pitching.

A committed coach and mentor for impact-driven teams

Does your startup support program need mentors? Do your impact-driven startups need coaching in pitching?

I have mentored early-stage startups and founders since 2015. I get excited about teams that demonstrate high talent, ambition and commitment to solving a societal problem with their business. I enjoy helping early-stage teams in delivering a winning pitch, user-centric business development, leadership and management as well as effective work methods and time management.

Selectively, I act as a mentor, advisor or coach to startups looking to make the world a better place. I have had the pleasure of working with the following teams, among others:

“Auri hosted two 45-minute pitching webinars in our virtual event Contact Forum. Her webinar reached more than 400 participants. According to the feedback, Auri's webinar was among the Top 3 most insightful programme items. The collaboration was smooth and Auri was quick to understand our needs and fulfilled them magnificently!”

- Meeri Helminen, CEO, CF-Opiskelijamessut Oy/ Contact Forum, Finland

In January 2021, I happily hosted two English-speaking sets online at the biggest recruitment event for the youth in Finland. The total number of unique visitors was 421, and the Average Visit Time for my 45-minute talk was 38 minutes - a length I’m delighted to see during a packed day with three parallel program slots.

The participants had a chance to share quick feedback at the end of the talk, and the statement “The session was useful for my job-seeking” was rated 4,6/5 (5 = fully agree) whereas the statement “I enjoyed the session” got a 5/5 (10 respondents).

Auri is both warm and understanding, yet uncompromising as a pitching coach. She pays attention to all participants, and with her calm and insightful style makes sure that everyone reaches a new level of understanding with their pitch.

In October 2020, I delivered a 2-hour online training in the Art of Pitching as a part of the Phoenix non-profit incubator in Finland. It was a pleasure to see that startup pitching can be well applied to help NGOs amplify the important work they do.

In February 2020, I delivered a 2-hour workshop for Doctoral Researchers at Loughborough University London called “How to communicate your research”. All 11 participants rated the session either Very Good or Excellent (on a scale from Poor to Excellent).

In March 2020, as a part of the Loughborough University’s Doctoral Wellbeing Week, I delivered a 1,5-hour workshop on Mentally Preparing for Presentations for Doctoral Researchers at the London campus. Based on the feedback collected, all participants reported feeling more confident to present their work to an audience in the future.
