About me
I work with organisations to implement better support for entrepreneurs in developing markets. I am driven to do my teeny-tiny part to alleviate youth unemployment in Sub-Saharan Africa. My secret sauce is made up of understanding people, design and business. I’m currently deepening that understanding as a Doer who’s learning to be a Thinker, too.
As a Doer, I design high-quality training for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and startups as well as entrepreneurial employees. I consult on projects relating to supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in Sub-Saharan Africa. In this work, I draw from my versatile work experience enabling early-stage entrepreneurship in Finland and southern Africa since 2016 as well as nearly four years of teaching experience (2011-2015) in Finland. I have experience in management consulting and business development for SMEs in Finland and Namibia. I’ve also been a pitching coach to startups since 2016. Check out my LinkedIn profile for more information about my professional background. I’m happy to provide my CV upon request.
As a Doer learning to be a Thinker, I research Startup Culture in the Windhoek and Lusaka Entrepreneurship Ecosystems. I aim to finalise my PhD in December 2023 at the Institute for Design Innovation at Loughborough University London. I have a Master of Arts degree (2016) and a Bachelor of Arts (2014) in African studies from the University of Helsinki with minor studies in Economics, Leadership and Management as well as Philosophy.

I’m currently (09/2022) based in Windhoek, Namibia, and I have worked and lived in:
Kenya (2006, 2015)
Namibia (2017-2019, 2021-)
the United Kingdom (2019-2020),
Finland, my home country.
Cities in which I’ve collaborated with startup ecosystem actors and/or startup founders include additionally: Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, Gaborone, Lusaka, Dar-es-Salaam, Pretoria and Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Language skills
I am bilingual (native Swedish and Finnish speaking) with IELTS Academic-certified English proficiency (2019). I have studied French, Spanish and Kiswahili.
Collaborating with me
I have a track record of independently driving a multitude of projects. This being said, I strongly believe in the power of multiple perspectives and I prefer to work in diverse teams with amazing people. Due to my international background, I am an efficient team worker who thrives in a multicultural setting.
Since 2015, I have worked remotely or as a part of a team with members working in several locations. Regardless of where I am in the world, I can be an efficient asset to a variety of projects. I’m a big fan of efficient digital tools for project management and collaboration. I adopt new digital solutions easily and use the following collaboration tools confidently: Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Trello and Asana.
Increased remote work requires a transformed approach to internal communication and remote leadership. Ask for a consultation on improving the way your organization or team collaborates remotely!
